International Congress Communication (Participation to a Conference)

International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). Copenhagen, Denmark.
The role played by social costs in economic evaluations of rare disease interventions. Communication accepted on the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) congress/Communication presented as 'Poster' on ISPOR Europe 2019 congress. Economic evaluations carried out from a societal perspective are still scarce in the rare diseases. Perhaps, that could be the reason why the inclusion of societal costs has changed authors’ conclusions in just 1 study of 26 economic evaluations reviewed in this case study.

Assessing the effect of including social costs in economic evaluations: a systematic review of diabetes-related interventions / Communication presented as 'Poster' on Virtual ISPOR Europe 2020 congress. The results achieved in this case study stated that very few studies consider social costs in economic evaluations of diabetes-related interventions. However, we conclude that conclusions can be altered if they are included.

Considering the Societal Perspective in Economic Evaluations: A Systematic Review in the Case of Depression-Related Interventions. / Communication presented as 'Poster' on Virtual ISPOR Europe 2020 congress. Our results showed that societal perspective might alter the conclusions in cost-utility analyses when depression-related interventions are economic assessed. Hence, the relevance of the perspectives of costs analysis matters on depression field.
